A cold spot in down is a point where cold outside air gets in through the seams (needle holes) and causes the warm air inside to escape.

Ordinary down jackets have quilting between the layers of down, and the pinholes in these seams can become cold spots, but the K-3B's down has down tubes placed on the back side of the seams as well, so the pinholes are blocked by the down on the back, making it less likely for outside air to pass through and less likely for heat inside to escape.
Because this double layer down tube is placed all around, it uses about twice the amount of feathers as a regular down jacket .

The front end (inside the front zipper) also has a double down tube built in. The front end is designed like a sleeping bag, but when the zipper is closed, the down tubes are pressed tightly together from both sides to close the gap, eliminating cold spots around the zipper. The front zipper and waist pocket zippers are waterproof, making it difficult for water to get in even in cold wind and rain .

Another feature of the pattern is that if both layers of the down tubes were stitched horizontally, the body would bulge horizontally, creating a rounded silhouette that would not fit the sides of the body. However, with this down jacket, the down tubes on the underside of the body are stitched vertically, creating a three-dimensional silhouette that fits the body.
This is an original manufacturing method used by craftsmen with extensive knowledge of down jacket design , and is not found in ordinary down jackets.

Furthermore, the sleeves have an ingenious sleeve attachment structure with gussets cut out under the sleeves, allowing for a very wide range of arm movement .
With ordinary down jackets, there is a tendency for the entire body to ride up and cause some stress when raising your arms, but with this Premium Down jacket we have done our best to eliminate such issues.

The updated cuffs feature laser-processed tabs with a matte suede look. The width of the cuffs can be easily adjusted to change the silhouette, and they also have the functionality to protect against wind and cold.
The pockets on both sides have waterproof zipper pockets for safe management of valuables, and the front has a heat storage pile hand warmer. It has comfortable heat retention and is also excellent for cold weather measures.

The fabric is made of our original lightweight, high-density woven fabric, which is highly windproof due to the high density weaving of 15dtex fine threads. We have developed a fabric that is breathable and waterproof, but also environmentally friendly with a non-fluorine water repellent finish (fluorine-free). It has a water pressure resistance of over 10,000mm, making it both functional and environmentally friendly.
