Adopting Kurabo's unique technology
The K-3B mask is made from an original fabric developed in-house by the Kaji Group, and is treated with Kurabo's (Kurashiki Boseki Co., Ltd.) antibacterial and antiviral functional fiber processing technology, Clenze®.
The treatment reduces the number of certain viruses (both enveloped and non-enveloped) on the textile and inhibits the growth of certain bacteria.
Although it depends on the usage, it has been confirmed to be effective in reducing the number of certain viruses by more than 99%. (※1)
How durable is it when washed?
It has been evaluated that the effect of reducing the number of certain viruses on fabrics continues even after 50 home washes. (※2)
It is effective against approximately 20 types of microorganisms (fungi and bacteria) and viruses, including the bacteria that cause the unpleasant smell of damp clothes.
Is it safe?
We are developing fixed antibacterial ingredients based on antibacterial agents for oral hygiene. These ingredients have been evaluated as "safe" in human patch tests and have also passed tests for skin irritation and toxicity.
What are the benefits of this mask?
The main body and ear loops are made of soft, stretchy material, so they fit the contours of your face perfectly. There are fewer gaps between the mask and the mask, reducing the spread of droplets.
In addition, although most conventional masks have a high level of droplet protection, many do not have the ability to reduce viruses, so it is recommended that you replace them with a new one three times a day.
